Senior IT Systemadministrator (m/f/d)

At deveritec, we develop sophisticated electronics and software solutions for IoT, Industry 4.0, and high-tech applications. While our projects and teams have grown significantly, our internal IT infrastructure still has considerable room for expansion. This is exactly where you come in. We are looking for a highly experienced professional who will not only operate our IT infrastructure but also actively develop, automate, and take it to the next level.

• Operation, maintenance, and further development of our on-premises infrastructure (Proxmox cluster with multiple nodes and VMs, including backup strategies)
• Administration and expansion of our network infrastructure (OPNsense firewall, UniFi Fabric, VLANs, VPNs – OpenVPN, WireGuard, and Headscale)
• Operation and further development of our security stack (SIEM/EDR with Wazuh, endpoint security, and incident detection)
• Responsibility for monitoring and logging (Loki, Grafana, Zabbix, including alerting)
• Incident response, including root cause analysis and sustainable troubleshooting (post-mortems)
• Automation of infrastructure and processes using Ansible (Linux, Windows, and macOS) as well as scripting (Python and Bash)
• Integration and use of APIs (Google, Microsoft Graph, Atlassian, and GitLab)
• Further development and review of IT security guidelines (e.g., password, security, and AI policies)
• Maintenance of our DATEV environment, including SmartCard integration
• Management of users, access rights, and permissions (AD, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365)
• Administration of our VoIP solution (3CX)
• Lifecycle management for hardware and end devices (Windows, macOS, and Linux)
• 1st- and 2nd-level support for our employees (troubleshooting, onboarding, and offboarding)
• Planning and implementation of IT projects (migrations, rollouts, and infrastructure expansion)
• Development and maintenance of documentation in an established environment

• Several years of experience in the independent administration of complex IT infrastructures
• Very good Linux skills (e.g., Debian, Ubuntu, Arch), including in-depth troubleshooting (kernel, drivers, and networking)
• Experience with Windows Server and macOS environments
• In-depth knowledge of network technologies (VLANs, STP/RSTP, LACP, routing, firewalls, and VPNs)
• Experience operating virtualization environments (Proxmox/KVM, cluster operation, and backup solutions)
• Hands-on experience with automation (Ansible) and scripting (Python and Bash)
• Knowledge in the area of SIEM/EDR and IT security (e.g., Wazuh, Elastic, and Splunk)
• Experience with the Atlassian Stack, GitLab, and directory services
• Structured, solution-oriented approach to work and a strong sense of responsibility
• Willingness to delve deeply into existing systems and make sustainable improvements
• Very good German and English language skills

• Flexible working hours (flexible schedule with core hours from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
